Greetings from the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatlán. I welcome you to this website, which offers you a look into one of the most important academic-cultural locations in the north of the Valley of Mexico. Acatlán, almost 35 years old, offers a wide range of options, not only academic, but of human development as well, to provide an integral education.

Acatlán, which forms part of the Multidisciplinary Units of the National Autonomous University of Mexico -the largest university of its kind-, has experienced significant changes in the quality of teaching, in the area of research, in spreading culture and in making improvements in its administrative processes.

Today, Acatlán has one of the highest levels of quality in all of the B.A. programs it offers. These programs have been evaluated by official, external organizations, which is a guarantee of excellence in both the quality of the courses offered, as well as the quality of the performance of the graduates both in the professional field and when continuing with postgraduate studies. This has all contributed to placing our “Maximum House of Study” (Maxima Casa de Estudios) among the ranks of the best universities of the world.

We see ourselves as an enterprising, avant-garde university, involved in the community, and committed to the following principles of development: innovation, quality and social relevance. Our educational project is based on ethical values and impartiality, with the implantation of alternate action for the production, protection and advancement of knowledge.

On this website, we have revealed Acatlán’s richness in infrastructure and human and material resources, and we have also included information about the potential of its academic life and relevant details about the everyday activities carried out on our campus. I am sure that every visitor to this site will be able to perceive the strength, spirit and commitment of our dynamic and enterprising community, a community that realizes that the growth and development of our country, is due to a large extent to the professionals, researchers and teachers we help train.
